Mission of Solano in Sonoma
This mission has the chapel seen on the left and the long living quarters and shops with its covered walkway coming out to the right. The whole complex is made of adobe stuccoed over to give it its white glow. Originally the roof was thatched but as time went on it had a red tiled roof added. It is one of the last missions founded. It now belongs to the State of California and thus is maintained by the State. It sits on the northeast corner of the center plaza of the city. The building off on the left is also part of the mission and was the stables and shops.
